Who we are
The NTA employs around 200 people in seven offices around England. Drawn from a variety of backgrounds across the health, social care, criminal justice and substance misuse field, they bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience to the organisation.

The Board
The NTA Board is made up of independent experts in the drug treatment field, including service users and carers. The NTA Board comprises the chair, eight non-executive members, four ex-officio and four executive members including the chief executive. The Board is responsible for:
- Approving the work programme, budget and general strategy of the NTA
- Providing independent advice on the NTA's strategy to the Secretary of State for Health
- Overseeing the NTA's general performance.
