Introduction
The NTA has responsibility for monitoring the performance of the drug treatment system in England against local and national targets. To this end various performance management reports and statistical releases are produced using data collected through the NDTMS. Publication dates can be found at the back of the compliance statement (see below).
Monthly performance figures are available to the public from the National Drug Evidence Centre NDTMS website. Registered users may also gain access to detailed management reports through this site. Further information about the NDTMS, including information on NDTMS systems and submission criteria are available here.

Monthly reports
On a monthly basis information on the number of clients in contact with drug treatment services, the proportion of clients retained in treatment for 12 weeks or more and the number of new presentations and discharges is presented nationally and for partnerships and treatment providers. This data is produced by the National Drug Evidence Centre.
The monthly data is a national statistic and complies with the National Statistics Code of Practice as outlined in the compliance statement.
Data on drug treatment before 2003/04 can be found through the Department of Health website. It should be noted that data reported before 2003/04 is not directly comparable to the data here, due to a change in both the data collection and reporting methodologies.
Annual statistics
Every year the NTA releases statistical bulletins and a detailed annual report of drug treatment activity in England. Data is currently available for:

Waiting times
Since April 2006 information on waiting times for drug treatment has been collected using the NDTMS. View both this data and the data previously self reported by partnerships here.
