Questions the NTA has answered

The NTA has responded to 20 questions posed by Addiction Today about drug treatment policy and practice.

We reproduce the questions and answers in full here as part of our commitment to communicate with a wide range of media about the positive benefits of drug treatment, and the important work done by all those practitioners in the field who are seeking to get users better and reintegrated back into society.

The NTA did not immediately respond to Addiction Today because some of the questions were not clear, and some of the explanatory material was confused. In addition, there were serious doubts about whether the NTA would get a fair hearing either in the magazine or on the website.

Nevertheless, the NTA has now answered all the questions, based on our best guess as to what some of them mean, and using the most up-to-date data available to us. The NTA hopes they are published in full and unedited by Addiction Today but will not be engaging in further correspondence about them.
