Cornwall's first residential detoxification centre for treating drug and alcohol addicts has been opened by HRH The Earl of Wessex. NTA staff were among the VIP guests at the ceremony. Boswyns, near Hayle, is a project run by the Bosence Farm Community, which received £1.7m of funding over three years from the NTA.
Rosanna O'Connor, NTA Director of Delivery said: "Boswyns is the first centre of its kind in Cornwall and fills a vital gap in the range of treatment on offer in the county. Our support of this project is further evidence of our commitment to provide a balanced service in England which enables addicts to move as quickly and safely as possible through treatment to recovery and reintegration into their local community."
