What happens when I enter treatment?

Before entering treatment, you will get your drug use assessed. 

You may find our publication Getting help for a drug problem – a guide to treatment, useful to read as this gives you a step by step detailed guide to entering treatment.

There are three types of assessment:

Alongside your assessment it is likely that you will be asked to take a drug test.  Regular tests will help with your treatment and for checking your progress.  You will also be assessed for risk, both to yourself or others.
