More teenagers are receiving help for drug and alcohol problems than ever before owing to the expansion of specialist substance misuse services for young people, according to a new report published today by the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse (NTA). Although addiction to substances is rare among young people, and research indicates that use is falling among under-18s, access to services has allowed more young people than ever before to get the support they need.
